hide those forums for those users with noch access rights

It is great that I can decide which user groups can read or edit the different forums. I suggest to make it possible to hide those forums a user group has no access rights for

After no one answered to my post I try to explain my problem more clearly. May be there is an option in ChronoForums I have overlooked.

I have different usergroups in Joomla. They consist of different teams and the leadership. Now I want all teams to have access to most of the forums. But one forum should be accessable to the leadership only. According to that I assigned the rights. As a result the leadership team only can access the leadership forum. That is okay so far.
But on the start page of Chronoforums with its overview the leadership forum is still listed for all and even the topics and last authors are listed there, visible for all even though the other teams can not open the topics. But they can see their titles and that is unspleasant.
Can I hide those titles for the other teams?

Usually I can do that with the Joomla access levels. But I have not found a possibility to do that in ChronoForums, because ChronoForums seems to have its own ACL.

After reading in FAQs I think ChronoForum2 supports what I want. But still do not know what configured wrong. I attach screenshot of my configuration in Chronoforums2 and Joomla. Can anyone help me? [file=13259]Chronoforums.pdf[/file]

Please go to the forums settings, disable the "Distinct forums permissions" setting, then go under Permissions and do your permissions setup!

That makes no sense, because I want distinct forum persmissions: some forums shall be accessable and visible to certain user groups others not.
But I tried it anyway without the wanted effect

so enable the distinct permissions, setup the global forums permissions to allow everybody then configure each forums permissions to your liking!

Of course I did that. Did you see my screenshots, which I attached as pdf?

I think this is working correctly, there is a permission for ACCESS, but it does not affect the forum "visibility"

This would mean: We are at the beginning of this post again and this is a suggestion to implement in Chronforums.

I agree, I'm working on an update, but it's a major update and may take sometime to finish!
